SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC IDP Movements May 2021 IDP (WoS) Task Force May 2021 updates Governorate summary In May 2021, the humanitarian community tracked some 33,000 IDP 16.9K Aleppo 15.4K movements across Syria, nearly the same number of movements tracked 21.4K in April. As in preceding months, most IDP movements were concentrated in northwest Syria, with 94 per cent of these movements occurring within 14.5K Idleb 8.4K and between Aleppo and Idleb governorates. 9.8K At the sub-district level, Afrin and Al Bab sub-districts in Aleppo governorate received the largest number of displaced people in May with 465 Lattakia 415 around 2,400 IDP movements each, followed by Bulbul sub-district in 810 Aleppo governorate, which received around 2,200 IDP movements. Dana 298 sub-district in Idleb governorate and Raju sub-district in Aleppo Tartous 210 governorate had received around 2,100 IDP movements each. 592 75% At the community level, the Al Bab community in Aleppo governorate of IDP arrivals 403 occurred within received the largest number of displaced people, with around 1,900 Hama 83 governorate movements while Afrin and Batbu communities in Aleppo governorate 184 received some 1,000 and 800 IDP movements respectively. Lattakia city 247 center received about 600 IDP movements while Kafr Naseh Elatareb and Homs 105 Kafr Safra communities in Aleppo governorate had received 500 IDP 135 movements each in May. These movements are estimated to mostly be 87 IDPs departure from governorate n incentivised by access to services and livelihoods.
