Only two other conferences have multiple undefeated teams (three each) but the Pac-12’s five is the most of any league. The Pac-12 undefeated teams have at least eight wins with #18/19 ARIZONA tied for the nation’s lead with nine (as of Dec. 10) ... For the first time ever, the Pac-12 has four teams ranked in the top 10 in the country as UCLA makes its first appearance at No. 10 in the Associated Press and USA Today/WBCA Coaches poll after spending the first five weeks at No. 11. Three of the top-four spots in each of the polls are occupied by Pac-12 teams with STANFORD coming in at No. 1 for the second-straight week. The Cardinal put their ranking to the test when it hosts Ohio State on Sunday, Dec. 15 on Pac-12 Networks, one of four games this week on the Network. OREGON is at No. 3, the sixth-straight week in the top three, while OREGON STATE has achieved its highest-ever ranking at No. 4. The Wildcats continue to climb in the polls, breaking into the top 20 for the first time since 2002-03 ... The Wildcats’ Cate Reese was voted Pac-12 Player of the Week after leading the squad to their ninth win of the season. Arizona is on a school-record 15-game winning streak, dating back to last season, and its 9-0 start is tied for the best start in program history ... Oregon’s Holly Winterburn was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week after shooting 5-for-7 from three-point range in a dominant win last week ... Eight student-athletes were named to the USBWA’s Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List, the most for any league. Five different Pac-12 teams are represented on the national player of the year watch list, including three from Oregon. Oregon State has two honorees, while Arizona, Stanford and UCLA each have one ... In ESPN’s Charlie Creme’s bracketology this week, he lists Oregon, Oregon State and Stanford as No. 1 seeds.
