FDLP Modernization Act of 2018 – H.R. 5305 OLA-DIGOR Talking Points Oregon libraries help the public find, use and understand government information. Through their decades-long partnership with the Federal Depository Library Program, libraries collect, catalog, preserve and provide reference services to support a wide array of Oregonians, including business owners, lawyers, researchers, and students of every age. H.R. 5305 updates and improves the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) by making it more responsive to the public and the needs of libraries Affirms no-fee permanent public access to all forms of government publications through a comprehensive distributed system emphasizing coordination and collaboration Defines and expands scope of digital collections Provides for increased flexibility for participating libraries Protects user privacy Broadens public awareness by expanding the number of libraries that could participate in the program Gives the Government Publishing Office (GPO) regulatory authority to create more tools and processes to ensure the ongoing strength and responsiveness of the program Federal Depository Libraries in Oregon Congressional Library District District 1 Pacific University – Forest Grove Linfield College - McMinnville District 2 Blue Mountain Community College – Pendleton Central Oregon Community College – Bend Oregon Institute of Technology – Klamath Falls Eastern Oregon University – La Grande Southern Oregon University - Ashland District 3 Lewis and Clark College – Watzek and Boley Library (Portland) Bonneville Power Administration Library Reed College Multnomah County Library Portland State University District 4 Oregon State University – Corvallis University of Oregon - Eugene District 5 State Library of Oregon (Salem area) State of Oregon Law Library Willamette University – Hatfield and Long Library Western Oregon University - Monmouth .
