SSI-I: Fundamentals of Cellular and Molecular Biology SSI will be a week-long course that will provide instruction covering the fundamentals of cellular and molecular biology and biotechnology using hands on laboratory techniques. SSI I will be open to GU-JC rising 10th grade students Research projects and experimentation include: Chemical methods to differentiate bacteria Identifying the genetic basis of brain disorders Extraction of genomic DNA Seminars and interactive discussions with UAB, federally funded research faculty Simulate drug discovery for flu prevention, COVID-19 and much more!
