It is quite specific, so you have to be very careful. Go to the web site of www.kniferights.org and it will give you graphics of what is and what is not allowed. Very informative. 2013 Blade Show The 2013 Blade Show will be held from May 31 thru June 2, 2013, at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta, GA. You can visit www.bladeshow.com for more information. Several of our BKC members, including makers and dealers that regularly attend the Badger Knife Show, will be exhibiting at the show. Those attending will include Cory Martin, photogra- pher, who does the photography at the Badger Knife Show. He will be available to work with you at the Blade Show. This is the granddaddy of all knife shows and is defi- nitely worth the effort to attend. See you in Atlanta. B.S.A. Building Security Two Volunteers Needed The Three Harbors Boy Scout Council recently installed a new building security system. It is a coded digital push button that must be entered by the person in charge of the group meeting. The doors can not be blocked open or an alarm will go off. Therefore, we need two volunteers at the meeting to man the upper and lower doors to allow members to enter. The doors must be manned from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. to allow enough time to have the members come in. Please do not arrive any earlier than 6:15 p.m. or you will be standing outside. We will not know the changeable code until the day before the meeting. If you can volunteer to man (or woman) one of the doors, please call Bob Schrap at 414-771-6472 or the club cell phone at 414-379-6819. There was a nice group of youngsters that attended Sat- urday afternoon. The youngsters received instructions on knife safety and upon completion received a certificate and a new knife, courtesy of our BKC member and table holder, Peter Albert . We are hoping to make this a regular feature at our fu- ture knife shows. Thank you, Dwight and Peter, for making this possible. 2013 Badger Knife Show—Comments Had a live two-hour radio feed from the show This year’s 30th Annual Badger Knife Show was truly a WJVL FM and WCLO AM with announcer success. I would like to share a few with you: From Joe Seale, table holder from Austin, Texas writes: “Many, many thanks for encouraging me to attend the Badger Knife Show. This past week-end. It was one of the five best knife shows that I have attended over the past thirty-five years. “You and your very capable, friendly, efficient helpers did a most OUTSTANDING job organizing and conduct- ing the show. There was great attendance, good fellowship, fine/rare knives and best of all: REKINDLING OLD FRIENDSHIPS THAT WERE BEGUN NEARLY FORTY YEARS AGO! “The hotel facilities were excellent. From Dave Eberhart : “My son and I attended the show Saturday and had a great time. Very friendly people at the front door, a mem- ber of the club came over and asked if my son could have a pocket knife, of course! There was a great selection of ex- hibitors and some really fantastic work. They were ex- tremely friendly and encouraged us to handle their knives. To top it off, one of them said he gives a custom knife away each year to a youngster and this year it was for my son. WOW. Great show, thanks.” (Editor: That knife maker is Larry Franklin from Stoughton, WI. Thanks, Larry.) Thank you Bob Schrap for successfully running 30 BKC Shows!
