Jerome Moras, OCD, is a Discalced Carmelite Priest who has a special devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague. Fr. Jerome rendered nine years of precious service as Vice- Rector of the Shrine of the Infant Jesus in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He is a very gifted and holy priest and the only priest in the world who promotes devotion to our Lord as a child. Fr. Jerome brings with him a holy porcelain replica of the Infant Jesus statue, which is beautifully dressed in a robe that has been touched to the original statue in Prague. The blessing is then passed on to the Holy Replica. "HAVE MERCY ON ME AND I WILL HAVE MERCY ON YOU. GIVE ME HANDS AND I WILL GIVE YOU PEACE. THE MORE YOU HONOR ME, THE MORE I WILL BLESS YOU." --The Infant Jesus' words to Fr. Cyril, OCD in 1635. It was he who rescued the statue from the rubble of a church after it had been ransacked by Saxons. Special devotion to the Divine Child originated with the Carmelites in the city of Prague, Bohemia, in the beginning of the seventeenth century. St. Therese, the Little Flower, was also a most fervent venerator. For more than three centuries, this promise has inspired a worldwide devotion to the Miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague.
