TECHNICAL SUBMISSION SECTION A INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERERS BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES: The Consultant is required to provide Post-Contract Professional Consultancy Services for Site Supervision,Project Administration ang quantity Surveying for the Construction Contract of Flow Diversion at Al Tarfa, Legtaifiya and Jelaiah (C830) in accordance with Professional Service Agreement General Condition of Engagement 2010, Revision A and as described in detail within Section C [Project Brief], Part 1 [Scope of Services] . The project area is located at 12 km North of Doha City Centre next to the Katara Cultural Village. The project area is spread across three areas namely Al Tarfa, Legtaifiya and Jelaiah. The project, C830 – Construction of Flow Diversion in Al Tarfa, Legtaifiya and Jelaiah - sewer networks catchment within Doha North developed from original DN085 project of Local Roads and Drainage Programme (LRDP). The project area covers in Zone 54 and is classified as a Category A project under Contract 2 of the Local Roads and Drainage Programme (LR&DP). The project area is on the Eastern periphery of Doha. The project boundary is defined to the North by Golf Course Road, East by Katara Cultural Village, East by West Bay Lagoon, South by Al Khafji Street and West by Arab League Street. Al Jamiaa Road is passing through the Project Area is shown in Figure 1. The Project covers the Qatar University area on the North- West corner. Figure 1: Project Location Map The overall strategy is to collect sewage over the entire project area by gravity, by isolating the existing pumping stations and conveying the flow to Doha North Interceptor Sewer at Shaft No. 70/T1/3/M3/E1, and subsequently to Doha North STW via pumping station PS 70. The last manhole at each identified pumping station will be connected to first manhole on the gravity sewer. The diameter of gravity foul sewer in open trenches are varying from 400 mm to 600 mm. The minimum diameter of trunk sewer will be 400 mm at the start point and maximum diameter of trunk sewer will be 1200 mm. The brief description of works to be carried out is as below; a) Construction of Sewer Networks in open trenches is 1495 m length by open cut method which comprises of 322 m length of 400 mm dia. and 1173 m length of 600mm dia. b) Construction of Sewer Networks in trenchless of 4224 m length by NDM method which comprises of 1700 m length of 600 mm dia. 1204 m length of 800 mm dia. 1300 m length of 1000mm dia. and 20 m length of 1200 mm dia. c) Construction of 24 nos.of in situ concrete manholes along the gravity sewer line in open trenches. d) Construction of 40 nos.of in situ concrete manhole shaft along the gravity tunnel sewer. e) Construction of foul sewer rising mains of 300mm DI main of length approximately 684m The Consultant shall complete the Construction Supervision Services within (913) Days, plus (400) Days for the Maintenance Period.
