I am hoping that we will get back to something like normal during 2021. The ACoD is scheduled for March 20-21st. It will be virtual. I hope that all or most of the ASFA clubs will be represented. I am looking forward to getting together with everyone – if online. The 2021 International Invitational has been approved. It will be held on May 15-16th at Antique Acres in Cedar Falls, IA. It will be hosted by Region 5 clubs. Financially, ASFA weathered 2020. Despite the many canceled trials, ASFA’s earnings exceeded what we had expected and budgeted for. I learned with great sadness of the passing of 2 friends and remarkable members of our lure coursing community. Denise Como authored lure coursing books, judged, and was a member of GONE (Gazehounds of New England). Fred Lutz was a member of CHAMP (Coursing Hounds of the Mid Potomac) and very active at every trial he attended. My favorite memories of Fred were our discussions while sitting in the golf cart setting up courses in Hanover.
