You were in the Temple of Solomon. And you are in this Capitol, in this house today, and in our lives as believers. We welcome and acknowledge your presence. We thank you for Speaker Straus, his wife, and his family. We thank you for his leadership. We are grateful for every member of this house, their families, and every member of each staff. Our prayer today is that each would continue to receive your guidance, your wisdom, and your help for the challenging decisions of this session. We pray, Lord, that there would be a coming together regardless of party, regardless of ideology, and that the members of this house would find common ground and have unity for the betterment and future of this great state. Today, Lord, give them strength and refreshing and renewal that will carry them in the weeks and months to come.
