Interesting and informative forums were held. Opening and general sessions brought Kiwanians and guests up to date on what is happening in our district. Awards were announced honoring Kiwanis clubs and indi- viduals for the 2003- 4 Kiwanis year under Immediate Past Governor Peter J. Mancuso. We enjoyed positive growth with a net growth of +168. Congratulations to Peter’s Leaders for a fine year. Governor Glenn and First Lady Susan con- tinue to make their official visits throughout the District. I encourage you to attend their visit and support them as well as the Governor’s Project. INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION The International Convention in Hawaii is fast approaching. We have a quota of 300 for the Convention which we should strive to meet. We have an excellent hotel, The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, which you all will enjoy. For those who want to save some money and enjoy another five star hotel, the NY District has an excellent land package only arrange- ment with The Double Tree Inn, less than 10 minutes from the Convention Center & beach- es. Check our District web page for details and forms. There are many things to see in Hawaii. Pearl Harbor, The Arizona, volcano sites, oceans and island cruises are just a few of the things to do. It truly will be a trip of a lifetime! Also we should show the rest of the Kiwanis world that we are interested in International affairs.
