PART 7” SINGLES AT MOTOWN (1972 - 1983)1 album03 My Name Is Jermaine hroughout 1976 Jermaine worked had on his first album after the separation with his brothers, who went to another record label My Name Is Jermaine T to pursue other career opportunities as a new group called the Jacksons. It had been quiet for a long period around Jermaine, who received a lot of criticism from media and the Jackson 5 fans for his decision not to stay with his brothers. Jermaine used the silent period to work on the new album and to find a new sound and style for himself. It was released in August 1977 and for the first time Jermaine J was more involved with the writing and producing process Feel The Fire of the songs on the album. Jermaine co-produced four tracks with Michael McGloiry, co-wrote three songs and wrote another song by himself. Berry Gordy was the executive producer of the album. The album contains nine tracks in the same style as the album My Name Is Jermaine, with a lot of great Disco, Pop and Soul (1972 - 1983) tracks, but just like the previous album My Name Is Jermaine Front and back cover the album didn’t became a success that it should have been. In the U.S. OTOWN the album reached #34 in the R&B chart and #172 in the Pop chart. M The first song of the album is the title track Feel The Fire AT 1977 (Burning From Me To You), which was released in Spain as a single. The song is followed by You Need To Be Loved, the first single in the U.S. and several other countries around the SINGLES 7 ” world. In the U.S. it reached #75 in the R&B chart. Also for this album Jermaine was more involved Frontiers T with the writing and producing process of the songs. Jermaine co-produced three tracks with Michael McGloiry and co-wrote three songs as well. He also teamed up again with one of the regular producers of the Jackson 5, Hal Davis, who produced two tracks for the album. The executive producers were Berry Gordy and his daughter, Jermaine’s wife at the time, Hazel Gordy. Unfortunately the album didn’t reached the U.S. charts. (1972 - 1983) The album contains eight tracks of which most of them are up tempo Front and back cover tracks with nice bass rhythms, and some are soulful songs in the similar OTOWN style of the previous albums. The first track is called Let It Ride, M which was followed by the Disco song The Force. Number three was AT 1978 the rocking song called Take A Trip To My Tomorrow (Let’s Encounter For The First Time) and the last track on the A-side was the soulful song Je Vous Aime Beaucoup (I Love You).
