And, we’d love for you to join us and fellow public radio jazz lovers! We’ve chartered the first-class MS Amadeus Diamond just for all of us jazz-loving public radio supporters. We’ll hear a little gypsy jazz, Django Reinhardt style, throw one of our famous Latin jazz dance parties and travel back in time with music from Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole. Also featured are several onboard concerts performed by outstanding European musicians. The trip begins with two pre-cruise nights in Paris, once home to a plethora of American jazz performers, writers, artists and musicians, it’s the perfect place to witness the on- going love affair between Paris and jazz. And then to start our floating jazz festival, we’ll cruise up the Seine to experience highlights such as Claude Monet’s Giverny Gardens, the spectacular Mont St Michel, the D-Day Beaches of WWII and delightful Norman villages and historic towns. We’ll also savor the local culinary specialties the French are so famous for: creamy cheeses, crisp cider and other local delights.
