What time does registration start? Monday If you’re arriving on Monday you can beat the Tuesday morning queues! Registration will be open in the ACC between 3pm and 8pm on the Monday. Anyone who is booked for Monday night will get an email with further details on Monday registration. Tuesday On Tuesday 31st March 2020 registration will be open in the ACC, Liverpool at 9am. Where should I go when I arrive? It is recommended that you drop off your luggage at your hotel before arriving at the venue. When arriving on the morning of Conference, please put your bag in the cloakroom before you go to register. The cloakroom is in the ACC Centre to the left hand side of the main entrance and costs £1 per item. I’ve dropped off my bag, where do I go next? You’re ready to register! Head to the main entrance to the ACC where you will be directed to registration. If you are attending the conference as an Observer or a Balcony Visitor you can use our Express Check- in. Please ask a member of NUS staff (in the Navy-blue Polo-Shirts) which desk to go to. Will overnight accommodation be provided? All Delegates are provided with free accommodation on the Tuesday and Wednesday of Conference if they have registered by Friday 28 February 2020. Observers and Balcony Visitors can also book accommodation at an additional cost provided they have registered by the accommodation deadline (28th February 2020). Accommodation the night before can be booked at an additional cost. Are meals and refreshments provided? Accommodation arranged by the NUS will include breakfast for the following morning. All dietary requirements received through online registration have been passed to the hotels. If you have any questions during your stay about what is suitable for you to eat, please speak to a member of hotel staff. All other meals, snacks and refreshments will need to be organised individually. Details of catering provided onsite by ACC What time will the event finish? The conference formally closes at 2pm on Thursday 2nd April 2020. Do I need to bring anything with me? Your student ID card. Parent/Guardian consent form if under 18. A signed Enabler Protocol if you are being accompanied by an enabler. A tablet or mobile device if you have one – and your charger. Some paper and a pen if you wish to take notes. 2 Clothes, toiletries and personal belongings required for three days away from home Will I be given any conference documents at the event? Other long-distance rail services also operate into Liverpool Lime Street station. ACC Liverpool is a 20-minute walk from Lime Street or a short taxi ride. You can also transfer at Lime Street onto the underground Wirral Line trains to James Street station (10 minute walk) or catch the CityLink Route C4 (7am – 8pm) directly to ACC Liverpool. If travelling from outside Merseyside, you can catch an underground train to James Street station from Lime Street station, inclusive of the cost of your ticket. We can’t advise specifically when you should be looking for advance tickets as different train companies release tickets at different times. For the routes to Liverpool tickets become available up to 24 weeks before the date of travel. You can check to see when advance tickets are available on this page of the National Rail Enquiries website. Depending on the route and time of travel advance tickets can be available event up to a week before you travel so it is always worth checking even if you are booking very close to the date of Conference.
