
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT Consultancy Services for Preparation of DPR for Development of Economic Corridors, Inter Corridors And Feeder Routes To Improve The Efficiency of Freight Movement In India Under Bharatmala Pariyojana (MAHARASHTRA – Lot-5/Package-2) Watur Jintur Nanded Green Field alignment between Watur – Jintur - Nanded section of Aurangabad - Hyderabad (Economic Corridor EC-23) The project road part of Economic Corridor starts from Watur on MSH-2 and ends on NH -161(Nanded - Sangareddy) near Kakandi village in the State of Maharashtra. The land use pattern in 10 km either side of the project road is predominately cultivated and barren fields. The proposed project does not involve diversion of any forest land. The project neither pass through any National park/ Wildlife Sanctuary/ Conservation reserve etc., nor falls within 10 km boundary of any Protected Area under Wildlife Protection Act 1972. The proposed land acquisition for the proposed alignment is approx. 973 ha. The proposed RoW is 70 m. The proposed road will have 3 nos. of major bridges, 58 nos. of minor bridges, 2 nos. of RoB, 194 nos. of culverts, 10 nos. of vehicular underpasses, 1 Overpass, 27 nos of LVUPs,18 SVUPs and 2 nos. of Toll plaza. There is provision of 21 bus bays and 4 Truck laybye.s Safety measures will be provided as per IRC guidelines, NHAI safety manual and MoRTH guidelines, circulars etc., About 3475 Nos. trees proposed to be felled within PRoW of 70 m. The proposed road crosses River Purna at KM 77.600 and River Godavari at KM 121.100. The proposed road is also crossing certain canals and water bodies. Material requirements are Cement – 787518 cum, Coarse sand – 1140912 Cum, Aggregate 4701091 Cum, Granular material/Moorum 713014 Cum, Steel – 24908 Mt, Bitumen 5560 Mt, Bitumen emulsion 667 Mt, Borrow earth – 10573785 Cum. Total requirement of water for the construction is estimated 3913350 KL. 36,00,000 cum fly ash proposed to be used for construction of embankment from Parli Thermal Power Station. Approximately 8 structures are getting affected due to present alignment and the NHAI shall compensate the affected title holder as per NHAI Act 1956. The total estimated project civil cost is approximately 2568.65 crores. .
