Lethal Weapon, based on the thrilling hit movie franchise of the same name, combines drama, action, friendship and humour as it follows the story of the classic cop duo Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) working through crime-ridden, modern-day Los Angeles. Following the tragic loss of his wife and unborn child, ex- Navy SEAL- turned -detective, Riggs moves to California to work for the LAPD and starts a new life. Riggs is partnered with Murtaugh, who has just returned to the job following a near-fatal heart attack. It is clear from the moment they meet that this partnership will severely test their patience because Riggs has a tendency to dive headfirst into the line of fire, which clashes with Murtaugh’s conservative, by-the-book-technique.
