Report Trip to Ajmer & Jaipur

REPORT TRIP TO AJMER & JAIPUR “It's better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.” Under the CBSE initiative ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, Bal Bharati Public School, Noida organized an educational trip to Ajmer and Jaipur from 25 to 28 December, 2017 for the students of Classes IV to VIII. 36 students accompanied by 4 staff members visited Brahma temple and Pushkar lake, a sacred Hindu site with 52 Ghats in Ajmer. It was a great spiritual experience for all. In the evening, children were engaged in numerous fun-filled indoor activities. Next morning, post breakfast, the students visited the dargah of Moinuddin Chisti, also known as Ajmer Sharif Dargah or Ajmer Sharif. It consists of several white marble buildings arranged around 2 courtyards, including a massive gate donated by the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Akbari Mosque, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Post lunch, we visited Nareli Jain Temple (a sacred Tirtha of Digambar Jains in the suburban area of Ajmer). The entire temple is made of marble stone and its breath-taking architecture and intricate stone carvings, give both traditional and contemporary look. The visit to Pushkar, Ajmer Sharif and Nareli was planned in order ro experience religious diversity of Rajasthan. On the last day of the trip, it was time to explore Jaipur, our final leg of the tour. The students explored the famous Amer Fort, the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur, followed by Jal-Mahal, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Each place has its own historic value which was well explained to the students by the tour guide. The trip was an excellent exposure for the students to understand and appreciate the language, culture, traditions and practices of another state. Apart from the knowledge, such excursions bring the spirit of camaraderie and friendship to the fore.
