Carleton Place - Locations by Mileage Until 1919 it was known as the Chalk River sub. and went through from Broad Street to Chalk River. In 1919 the name was changed and the mileages were changed to be measured from zero at Ottawa West. For a while after the changes in 1919, it was also known as the Carleton sub. In late 1924 it appears that measurement was made from zero in Hull. (Aylmer Road, Hull was included as part of the Carleton Place sub while the Cummings spur in Westboro was shown as at m. 6.3 - it is 2.3 miles from Broad Street.) The measurements seem to have been changed back by April 1926 when Britannia Road is shown at m. 4.6 (it is 4.63 from Broad Street).
