The excitement of beginning a new year is tempered by the death of Sharon The High (’08-’12) Coyne, sister of one of our longest serving faculty members, Tom Coyne ’62. Tom December 16 – Family Alumni Mass has been Sharon’s principal caregiver for many years and because of that, Sharon has been an integral part of U of D Jesuit. In quite an incredible way, Sharon December 26 – 3 on 3 Alumni Basketball became part of every class, mass, retreat, athletic event, pep rally, Christmas Tournament party, and just about everything that happens at our school. Her death gives us December 27 – Alumni Hockey Game an opportunity to reflect on what her life and her brother’s generosity has meant January 24 – Cub Lawyers’ Dinner to all of us.
