Over 400 books and pamphlets, and a number of periodical parts (Dept of Printed Books), mainly relating to the history of Unitarianism in England, and ranging from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries. 'Runs' of The Christian Unitarian (1862-6), The Unitarian Almanac (1847-85), The Essex Hall Year Book (1890-5), and the Proceedings of the General Baptist Assembly (1788-1868) are a notable portion of the collection. Many of the books have been annotated by their late owner in his own characteristic style, and authors' autographs are numerous.
