NEWS RELEASE Public Information Office, 400 NW 2 Ave., Room 220, Miami, Florida 33128 (305) 603-6420 Date: February 13, 2020 Subject: 2020 Coconut Grove Arts Festival The 2020 Coconut Grove Arts Festival will take place Saturday, February 15, through Monday, February 17, 2020. The event will take place in the heart of downtown Coconut Grove, along S. Bayshore Drive and McFarlane Road, between Aviation Avenue and Grand Avenue. Miami Police officers will be assigned throughout the area’s perimeter, to provide high visibility and overall security to the event’s entry, exit and interior display tents. • The initial street closures will begin on Friday, February 14, 2019 at approximately 9:00am. The closures will remain in place until Monday February 17, 2019, at approximately 11:30pm. • No vehicular traffic will be allowed on South Bayshore Dr. from Aviation Avenue to McFarlane Road and from McFarlane Road to Grand Avenue. • Heavy vehicular traffic is anticipated due to the road closures and the construction taking place on S.W. 27 Avenue, from US1 to Tigertail Avenue. • Patrons attending the Coconut Grove Arts Festival can use S.W. 22nd or S.W. 32nd Avenues as alternates from South Dixie Highway. • Miami-Dade Transit will also provide additional buses to the Coconut Grove Circulator bus routes. The routes will shuttle people from the two Metro Rail Stations in the area, the Douglas Road Station and the Coconut Grove Station. • Additional event information can be gathered at www.cgaf.com Miami Police officers will also be assigned accordingly to assist with ingress/egress of vehicular traffic and pedestrian crossing within the venue’s boundaries.
