Contact details for Committee Clerks are provided at the end of the Bulletin. Health and Sport Committee 14th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 9.45 am in Committee Room 5 1. Decisions on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 3 in private and whether its consideration of a draft report should be taken in private at future meetings. 2. Access to newly licensed medicines: The Committee will take evidence from— Professor Philip Routledge, Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Cardiff University; Professor Charles Swainson, former Medical Director, NHS Lothian; and then from— Alex Neil, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Well-being, Professor Bill Scott, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, and Dr Aileen Keel, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Scottish Government. 3. Inquiry into teenage pregnancy: The Committee will consider a draft report. Education and Culture Committee 14th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 10.00 am in Committee Room 2 1. Inquiry into decision making on whether to take children into care: The Committee will take evidence from— Tam Baillie, Scotland‘s Commissioner for Children and Young People; Liz Ray, National Learning and Development Lead, Who Cares? Scotland; Andy Miller, Business and Partnerships Manager, Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability. 2. Post-16 Education (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the Bill and the draft Scottish code of good Higher Education governance from— Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski; Professor Russel Griggs OBE; and then from— Robin Parker, President, NUS Scotland; Mary Senior, Scottish Official, University and College Union Scotland; 3 Lord Robert Smith of Kelvin, Chair, and Simon Pepper, Committee Member, Steering Group on Scottish Code for Good Higher Education. 3. Children and Young People (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1. 4. Children and Families Bill (UK Parliament legislation): The Committee will consider the legislative consent memorandum lodged by Aileen Campbell, Minister for Children and Young People (LCM(S4)21.1). 5. Broadcasting (in private): The Committee will consider a revised draft report. Justice Committee 14th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 10.00 am in Committee Room 1 1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 4 in private. 2. Fatal road collisions: The Committee will take evidence from— Stuart Cross, Senior Lecturer, Dundee Law School, University of Dundee; Margaret Dekker, Scottish Campaign against Irresponsible Drivers; Superintendent Iain Murray, Head of Road Policing, Police Scotland; Stephen McGowan, Deputy Director of Serious Casework, and David Green, Head of Scottish Fatalities Investigation Unit, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. 3. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider the following negative instruments— Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (Scottish Public Authorities) Amendment Order 2013 (SSI 2013/126); Firemen‘s Pension Scheme (Amendment) (Scotland) Order 2013 (SSI 2013/128); Firefighters‘ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Amendment Order 2013 (SSI 2013/129). 4. Transfer of prison healthcare to the NHS: The Committee will consider its approach to its forthcoming round-table evidence session on the transfer of prison healthcare to the NHS. Subordinate Legislation Committee 14th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 10.00 am in Committee Room 4 1. Aquaculture and Fisheries (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider the delegated powers provisions in this Bill after Stage 2. 5. Regulatory Reform (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider its approach to the scrutiny of the delegated powers provisions in this Bill at Stage 1. 6. Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011: The Committee will consider its approach to the scrutiny of instruments implementing the provisions of this Act.
