After the loss, the Tar Head Coach Matt Doherty 36-17 overall/2 years Heels won five of their next six games. The Tar Heels continued to work the ball inside, shooting 59.1 percent from the floor Record in Smith Center 171-26 ACC Record in Smith Center 94-21 for the game and attempting 17 more free throws than the Seminoles. Carolina led by as many as seven points in the second half but the Seminoles battled Alltime Record 1769-625 back and went on an 8-2 run to take a 64-62 lead with 2:17 left in the second half.
