Sonoma County Office of Education The Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) works closely with local public schools and the Sonoma County Emergency Operations Center in the event of emergencies that cause school closures. To get updated information on school closures, visit the school districts website here. School Closures as of 10/12/17 The Sonoma County Office of Education will be closed through Friday, Oct. 13. It will reopen on Monday, Oct. 16 barring a change in circumstances. All day-time trainings and classes are cancelled, however. Check the North Coast School of Education has cancelled all classes through Friday the 13th as well. Check back soon for more information on their schedule for the following week. Sonoma County Transportation and Public Works The following website provides information on road closures and delays on county roads and city streets within Sonoma County. Information and resources may be provided for a variety of needs including shelter, basic needs, and disaster assistance. Dial 211 from your phone to speak with a trained information and referral specialist. Calls are routed to service centers based on your geographic location. Napa County Napa County Emergency Services The Napa County Office of Emergency Services (OES) provides information about emergency preparedness, response and recovery; maintains and updates county emergency plans as needed; and trains the community for disasters. Napa County Unified School District (NVUSD) The Napa Valley Unified School District works closely with local public schools and the Napa County Emergency Operations Center in the event of emergencies that cause school closures. American Red Cross-California Northwest Chapter The American Red Cross is one member of the local, state and federal disaster response community. During a disaster the Red Cross provides shelter, food, emotional support, health services, clean-up supplies and comfort items. Mendocino County Updates can be found on the county website here From the Mendocino County website: The County will hold a "drive through" event for the public to pick up N95 masks in Ukiah and Willits. There are 500 masks available at each location for people with respiratory issues, such as asthma (limit one per person). The Ukiah event will begin at 3:3O PM today, Thursday, October 12, at Frank Seek School, 1060 North Bush Street in Ukiah. The Willits event will be held Crisis & Disaster Resources tomorrow, Friday, October 13, at 9:30 AM, in front of the Willits Library, 390 E. Commercial Street. An N95 respirator mask is a respiratory protective device that can protect your lungs from wildfire smoke. The N95 masks available at the events are reusable. Orange County Orange County Emergency Management The Emergency Management Department operates the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) for Orange County in the event of a natural disaster.
