There is no need to explain why I say with great honour, you all know where my heart is, but I say the word satisfaction with a broad smile on my face. To know that the club has progressed so quickly and so far in its first two seasons is a compliment to all who have been involved. From our volunteers through to our patrons, everyone has done more than could have been expected and for this, I am deeply grateful. There is no doubt now that the amalgamation of two of Sydney’s great and historic clubs has proved to be a huge success. I am personally very happy with the way our first two years panned out but my sense of satisfaction comes from the fact that we are a strongly united body moving in one direction with no skeletons in the closet.
