Bio on Tim Graves Tim Graves is the cousin of Bryan Graves and nephew of "Uncle Josh Graves"! Tim spent his childhood around Uncle Josh and was instructed and introduced to the Dobro first hand by his Uncle! Tim spent many, many hours studying the technique and mastering his uncle’s playing! In 2015, Grammy award winner Tim Graves was inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. Tim has over 30 years of professional music under his belt, including 20 years as part of world famous Grand Ole Opry. Tim has toured extensively across the U.S. both as a sideman and with his own gospel award winning group "The Farmhands!” Tim plays his signature 'Tim Graves model' Beard resophonic guitar and is the reigning Dobro Player of the Year in bluegrass music, a distinction he has held 13 times and the last 10 years in a row. GRAVES BLOODLINE was Influenced by: Bryan and Tim have a huge musical Nashville family that all began with Bryan's Dad and Tim's Uncle Josh Graves (September 27, 1927 Tellico Plains, Monroe County, Tennessee – September 30, 2006), born Burkett Howard Graves, was an American bluegrass musician. Also known by the nicknames "Buck," and "Uncle Josh," he is credited with introducing the resonator guitar (commonly known under the trade name of Dobro) into bluegrass music shortly after joining Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys in 1955. He was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor in 1977! .
