Biographical/Historical Sketch Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) is a notable English Romantic poet known for such poems as Ozymandias, Ode to the West Wind, To a Skylark, Queen Mab, and Prometheus Unbound. His wife, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1797-1851) is perhaps best known for her novel Frankenstein. Scope and Content Note This collection contains ephemera relating to Percy Bysshe Shelley and Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Included are an undated hand-written address attributed to Mary Shelley, a letter from Percy Shelley to Mr. Bryant on March 26, 1816, a ticket to the Shelley Society performance of "Hellas" in London on November 16, 1886, and undated notices for rare Shelley books and letters for sale.
