INTRODUCTION The following is an index of the KFN Blue Bill from 1954 onwards. This is a chronological index where the entries have been put under subject headings. There is some degree of cross referencing. The most recent entries are found at the top of the lists. Items in brackets are to clarify the title and also indicate where a map is included. This index covers the articles and book reviews in Blue Bill. In order to view the subject headings you can either click on “Bookmarks” or scroll down to pages 2 to 5. Clicking on the bookmark subject will move you straight to that heading. The articles may be viewed at the Queen’s Engineering and Science Library on the south east corner of University and Union Street. They are to be found down one floor from the entrance level at the back indexed as QH1 B65. They cannot be taken out but you can photocopy them there. The Kingston Central Library on Johnson Street has copies from 1994 onward which can be borrowed. The KFN has some copies available to be borrowed and many members have their own copies which they may be willing to lend. The local bird counts including the following: Yearly List of Birds (generally in issue 1); Winter Season (issue 1 or 2); Christmas Counts (issue 1 or 2); Mid-winter Waterfowl Inventory (issue 1); Spring Roundups (issue 2); Spring Season (issue 2); Fall Roundup (issue 4); Fall Season (issue 4); have not been indexed here. Much of this data is available in “Birds of the Kingston Region” by Ron Weir. Beginning in 1975, the KFN was involved in studies at the Prince Edward Point Observatory. Supplements to the Blue Bill were issued, and are designated as e.g. Vol.26, PEPt Supp. 1979 In 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, these are separate issues but in 1982 and 1983 the report is included with issue 1. The 1st Annual Report is in Vol. 22, 4, 1975 Mammals have been listed alphabetically: Birds according to the American Ornithologists Union which lists the birds according to their presumed natural and evolutionary relationships. Places (field trips, survey sites, individual trips etc) are listed geographically starting with the Kingston region and ending with the continents other than North America. A list of speakers at the KFN meetings is also included under the KFN subject heading.
