We have a varied selection of performers with us again this year - see page 5 for details. Before that however, we celebrate the fact that we are host to some of the best mediums in the world - on 20th May, Paul Jacobs will be back with his 5 day Course; in June, Gordon Smith's School of Intuitive Mediumship runs its second module of the Foundation Course and in July Tony Stockwell is conducting a course on Trance, something I know is very popular for those wanting to take their mediumship that step further. Tony is also giving a demonstration of mediumship on Saturday, 8th July - something not to be missed! As we head towards the Autumn we've given you a sneaky peak at some of our speakers in our Tuesday Talks series, which is growing more popular and attracting a regular audience. Also, we have some new Mediums to The Centre in our 'Affordable Workshop' series. See page 4 for more information. So, I hope we have given you food for thought and we look forward to welcoming you to some of our events. You can access this interview in full via our website. Can you tell us a bit about your background. Where are you from and how did you get involved with Spiritualism? I’m from Wolverhampton originally and it was Wolverhampton Spiritualist Church where I first entered a Spiritualist Church. I had moved into temporary home premises connected to my work and I was having all of these weird and wonderful, strange objective experiences that scared the living daylights out of me. Then a few days later I was walking down a road and came across a building I’d walked past countless times saying Spiritualist Church and I thought I’d go in and see what’s going on. When I went in the medium on stage turned out to be my great aunt. 6 weeks later I had a phone call from her asking if I was still attending, and she invited me to go to Gordon Higginson’s church and meet him which meant nothing to me, but of course he was the president of the Spiritualist National Union, principle of the Arthur Findlay College, and the finest medium in the last 100 years. 6 weeks more than any evidence that I could give you, it’s very diffi- later my aunt died.
