G.N. 1407 Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations

G.N. 1407 TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374) EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTED ZONES IN MONG KOK In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 31 March 2005 to 30 June 2005, the following sections of roads will continue to be temporarily designated restricted zones during the hours stated below:— 24 Hours Daily (a) the eastern kerbside lane of Portland Street from a point about 35 metres south of its junction with Argyle Street to a point about 110 metres south of the same junction; (b) the eastern kerbside lane of Portland Street from its junction with Shantung Street to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction; (c) the western kerbside lane of Portland Street from a point about 35 metres south of its junction with Argyle Street to its junction with Shantung Street; (d) the eastern kerbsie lane of Portland Street from its junction with Shantung Street to a point about 30 metres south of the smae junction; and (e) the western kerbside lane of Portland Street from its junction with Shantung Street to its junction with Soy Street From 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily the section of Soy Street between Shanghai Street and Portland Street From 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily the section of Shantung Street between Shanghai Street and Reclamation Street From 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. daily (a) the southern kerbside lane of Argyle Street from its junction with Shanghai Street to a point about 35 metres east of the same junction; (b) the section of Shanghai Street between Argyle Street and Shantung Street; and (c) the eastern kerbside lane of Shanghai Street from its junction with Argyle Street to a point about 30 metres north of the same junction. Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:— (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or (b) loading or unloading goods.
