A director of Sport Concepts for 15 years, he offers specialised experience in temporary and permanent sports facility design and an in depth knowledge of sports federation and event overlay requirements. He was responsible for the architectural technical review and the on-site build quality of four of the major London 2012 Olympic venues including the Olympic Stadium and the London Aquatics Centre. PROFILE Simon has worked on a diverse portfolio of innovative designs around the world including large Masterplans for Singapore, new Indoor venues in Budapest, Liverpool, Glasgow and Athens and a new football Stadium for Spartak Moscow. Simon was Design Principal for the Glasgow National Indoor Arena, an unique and complex scheme involving the construction of a 5,000 capacity arena with the first six lane hydraulic track in the UK, in conjunction with a indoor Velodrome and community sport facilities. This exciting project is part of a scheme to transform the east end of Glasgow and is a key venue in the 2014 Commonwealth games. Simon worked extensively on the London 2012 Olympics gaining expertise in the provision of temporary venues and is currently working on a number of new projects including a new tennis centre in the middle east, and is a consultant to Live Nation for the new Copenhagen arena. Simon is responsible for design development in the office, promoting innovation, sustainability and high design quality throughout the design phases of all projects.
