From the Desk of the Director Future of Management and Technology Education @NMITD India has a one-of-a-kind combination of location, culture, and demographics. It can leverage the economic growth, development and create management and technology education, which will harness the talent India has. Leaders of Indian management education are quickly realizing that they must look outward as they train business leaders. They can't be provincial. It will not be enough to focus on educating Indians for India. Business schools in India can design themselves as global institutions; building globally distributed educational programs and deep partnerships around the world right from the start. India's corporations must become active partners in building the management education programs by supplying ideas, knowledge, capital, financial investment, and on-site experience for students, enabling them to learn in real-world situations Building on its world-class IT knowledge, India has the opportunity to show the world the true potential of technology-based learning. Technology is leading to a revolution in the way we learn. It is helping solve the problems of scale, quality of education, and learnability of the student. Teachers can now reach the full classroom through digital screens, enabling each student to get the core content. Student engagement is higher as it combines various instructional styles. And each student gets exposure to world-class education, something that was just not available in a chalk and talk approach. Cloud-based tools and apps in classroom will introduce a paperless learning environment. Google Classroom is already on its way to create a paperless classroom where teachers and students use Google Drive, Google Docs and Gmail to conduct and exchange assignments in a smarter way. At NMITD, we believe in student centric approach to learning, based on Indian values and a Global Outlook and a mix of academics and Industry demands. We have a team of dedicated professionals committed to excellence in education. The non-teaching staff is also very friendly and helpful and above all, we have the lineage of 130 year old Deccan Education Society. We welcome the future generation of budding technocrats and managers to join us to prepare for a bright future.
