Three other Gators had near perfection with marks of 9.975 – Alyssa Baumann (beam), Rachel Gowey (beam) and Savannah Schoenherr (bars). The Honda Award for gymnastics went to Sloan (2016) and McMurtry (2017), distinguishing them as the nation’s top Megan Skaggs 2019 bars collegiate gymnast. McMurtry was part of a rare double in 2017 and 2018, claiming both the SEC Gymnast (2017)/SEC Event Specialist Trinity Thomas 2019 all-around, bars, floor (NCAA & regular season), beam (2018) and the SEC Scholar-Athlete awards.
