ABSTRACT LS-INGRID is a general purpose pre-processor for the programs, LS-NIKE2D[1], LS-NIKE3D[2], LS-DYNA2D[3], LS-DYNA3D[4], TOPAZ2D[5] and TOPAZ3D[6]. It can be used as a simple translator to convert various databases to these programs. In addition, it is a general purpose three-dimensional mesh generator with considerable capability to deal with complex geometries
