In Sweden, gender equality is usually lim- ited to defining the relationship between men and women. However, equality is a somewhat wider concept. Underlying this notion is the belief that all people are of equal value, regardless of sex, ethnic origin, re- ligion, social class, etc. Gender equality is one of the cornerstones of equality.
