It gives a detailed information about the Educational Facilities available at different levels in the State. An attempt has been made to include the names of all types of Educational, Professional, Vocational and other Specialised institutions from Middle Standard to University level functioning in Haryana during the academic year 1976-77 (as on 31st August, 1976). The addition of a few statistical tables in this Directory has further enhanced its utility. This publication is meant to serve as a comprehensive reference book for all Educational Administrators and Planners engaged in the job of rational planning and formulation of sound development programmes in the field of Educa­ tion. It will also prove useful to Research Scholars and others interested in the field of Educational Development in Haryana. 1 take this opportunity to thank the various Heads of Departments and other Field agencies who have provided the requisite material for inclusion in this issue.
