EERA-DTOC Final Conference, Copenhagen, 10th March 2015 29 Wake measurements behind Alpha Ventus WF Wind speed profile of EERA-DTOC TEST Case 04 40 minutes boat trip 10-15D @FINO 1 EERA-DTOC Final Conference, Copenhagen, 10th March 2015 30 Alpha Ventus wind farm wake verification Results and discusion Normalized wind speed at 90 m height based on • The comparison represent40 minutes 40averaged minutes inflow of conditions measurements and model results; • The magnitude of the deficit can be simulated in average within a tolerance of 7% for 40 m and 90 m (=hub) heights, but with increasing deviations above hub height; • The position of the wakes from the simulations do match well the initial wakes from the AREVA turbines. • The modeled Senvion wakes deviates from the measured, IWES ship lidar probably caused by a change in the wind direction (5AD/RANS-10°).
