Is there an “adult culture”? However, today we will take a look at some common shared interests of high school students, regionally & nationally. (Positive and/or negative) 4 8/9/19 Social Time Values In 2017 & 2019 TI surveys, 21% and 38% of NH HS students surveyed preferred physical activity (organized sports, hiking, etc.) in their free time. Approx. 57% of all high school students in the U.S. play at least 1 sport. 5 8/9/19 In 2017 & 2019 TI surveys, 32% & 50% preferred to engage in artistic activities in their free time. In the U.S., 37% of high school students participate in school performing arts programs, and 41% indicate frequently attending arts events. In 2015 & 2017 TI surveys, only 5% of NH HS students surveyed preferred to use or be around substances in their free time.
