Santo Domingo Las Américas Interna+onal Airport (SDQ) is the main port of entry near the capital city on the Southcentral Coast and is located only 20 minutes away from the city’s center. It provides access to the historic Colonial City and is a 10-minute drive from Boca Chica and 20 minutes from Juan Dolio. The airport is the second busiest in the country. La Isabela Interna+onal Airport (JBQ) is also located in Santo Domingo and offers domes+c flights within the DR as well as flights to some Caribbean islands. San:ago Another op+on to easily reach the Central and North Coast region is to arrive via the Cibao Interna+onal Airport (STI) in San+ago. San+ago is the country’s second largest city and approximately a one-hour drive from the city of Puerto Plata. Puerto Plata The Gregorio Luperón Interna+onal Airport (POP) in Puerto Plata on the North Coast is popular for tourists headed to hotels and ecotourism adventures in Puerto Plata, Playa Dorada, Cofresí, Maimón, Luperón, Sosúa, Cabarete, Playa Grande, Río San Juan and Cabrera. All of the hotels and towns are only a 10-45 minute drive from the airport.
