Camp Incredible University School at TU Summer Programs 2018 Camp Incredible 2018 - Information, Policies, and Procedures Dates and Times Our summer program will consist of six one-week camps as follows: Session 1: June 4 - 8 Session 3: June 18 - 22 Session 5: July 9 - 13 Session 2: June 11 - 15 Session 4: June 25 - 29 Session 6: July 16 - 20 All camp sessions are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Extended day available for additional fee. Fees Early Registration - $225 per session (by March 30, 2018) Regular Registration - $250 per session (after March 30, 2018) Some camps require an extra fee - see descriptions for details. Payment: Payment must be made at time of registration. The online registration system accepts major credit cards and digital checks. Grade and Age Levels All grade levels refer to the grade the student will be entering in the fall of 2018. For Pre-K level, the student must be 4 years old before the start date of the camp session. ( Refunds/Cancellations Tuition is non-refundable unless a camp is cancelled for insufficient enrollment. If a camp is cancelled for this reason, the student may select another camp, or the tuition will be refunded. No refunds or credits are given for absences. Changes Regardless of the reason for changes (except in the case of cancellation due to insufficient enrollment), a $25 change fee will be charged for each change made to a student’s enrollment. Changes must be made by the Friday before a session is scheduled to begin. If you need to change your student’s registration after you have enrolled, you must complete and fill out a Change Form. Extended Day Extended Day is available daily from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. Extended Day is available in three separate sessions so that you can choose the specific times you need: AM (7:30-9:00), PM Session 1 (3:00-4:15), and PM Session 2 (4:15-5:30). The weekly cost for each single session is $50. You may also use the Extended Day program on a drop-in basis at a rate of $15 per day per session. Extended day program activities are less structured than those in the regular summer camps and will include outdoor play, games, videos, puzzles, etc. Students attending afternoon Extended Day should bring a snack. Late Pickup Pickup is from 3:00 to 3:10 p.m. Any child not picked up by 3:15 p.m. will be sent to the Extended Day Program and charged the drop-in rate, with a minimum charge of $15. Any student in afternoon Extended Day who is not picked up by 5:30 will be charged a $15 late fee plus $1 per minute after 5:45 p.m. Lunch Students should bring a sack lunch, including a beverage. Lunches should not include soda or candy. Microwaves are available, but items needing to be warmed up should take no longer than 2 minutes in the microwave. Lunch will be supervised. University School has a no-peanut policy; please do not include peanut products in children’s lunches. Behavior Students are expected to have good behavior and follow classroom and school rules at all times. Attendance at our summer program is a privilege, and inappropriate behavior may jeopardize that privilege. Personal Items University School is not responsible for personal items brought to camp by students. We prefer that students do not bring personal wire- less devices, such as cell phones, e-readers, etc., to camp. If wireless devices are brought to camp, they must be turned off. University School is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal items brought to camp. Questions? Bring your inner artist and have fun creating your own masterpieces using a variety of PreK - 1st materials. We’ll learn about some well-known artists and their works as well. in Me Instructor: Jane Poleman 1B Just for Fun Join us as we have fun doing things that are fun -- just for fun! We’ll play games, create art, build things, fly things, PreK - 1st dance, sing, read, play outside, and play with water. Instructor: Cheryl McBride 1C Maui Let’s forget about our worries and fly to the island of Maui! We’ll make leis and surfboards, build sand castles, PreK - 1st Adventures watch volcanoes erupt, collect sea shells, go on a treasure hunt, learn Hawaiian songs, and even have lunch under the sea! Have you tried Maui potato chips? We’ll even enjoy some of the favorite foods of Maui kids! Instructor: Leslie Gore 1D Monkey Get ready for a “chimply” marvelous time! We will be “swinging” from one activity to another as we board the K - 2nd Business* “Banana Boat” (aka school bus) and travel to museums, splash pads, Whiteside and Chandler pools, and lots of parks. We may also watch a few movies (G or PG). Hats, closed-toe shoes, and sunscreen are required. Be pre- pared to get wet every day! Instructors: Eileen Rutter/Bernie Woytas *An additional fee of $30 is required for this camp. 1E It’s a Mystery Get a clue, and join the Super Sleuths at University School for a week filled with solving mysteries, scavenger 1st - 2nd hunts, history mysteries, finger printing and more. We’ll use stories from the popular A-Z Mysteries, Cam Jansen, Bailey School Kids, Jigsaw Jones, Sherlock Holmes, and even the Nancy Drew Mystery series as a basis for planning daily games, crafts, snacks, and other activities. Put on your detective hat, and let’s have some summer camp mystery fun! Instructor: Regina Ritchie 1F Let’s Go Lego Lego campers will experience individual and team challenges, create “moving” Lego creations and video their 1st - 3rd progress with stop-motion iPad applications. Instructors: Mary Still and Becca Roe 1G Pinterest You’ve seen it on Pinterest, now make it at camp! Each day will have a fun-filled theme: Beach Party, Unbelievable 2nd - 4th Party Unicorns, Perfectly Panda, You Scream Ice Cream, and Marvelous Mermaids.
