Membership is open to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 34 P and O members, liaison organizations, and subgroup representatives. SC 34 re-appoints Dr. Makoto MURATA (Japan) and Dr. Yong-Sang CHO (Korea) as the Co-Conveners of this ad hoc group. *=International Digital Publishing Forum (http://www.idpf.org/) Unanimous Resolution 2: Establishment of Appropriate Category of Liaison with IDPF SC 34 recognizes the need for establishing a liaison relationship with IDPF and instructs AHG 4 to prepare a statement of expected benefits and responsibilities according to the requirements in the JTC 1 Supplement. SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to circulate the draft statement to be submitted by AHG 4 to SC 34 members for a default ballot for a 60 days period. Unanimous Resolution 3: Establishment of Liaison with JTC 1/SC 36 In response to the proposal from JTC 1/SC 36 contained in SC 34 N 1593, SC 34 establishes a Liaison relationship with JTC 1/SC 36. Unanimous WG 1: Resolution 4: New Work Item Proposal for "Document Container File -- Part 1: Core" SC 34 thanks WG 1 for preparing a report on Study Period for "zip" format contained in SC 34 N 1577. SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to circulate New Work Item Proposal contained in SC 34 N 1575 to the SC 34 members for a three-month ballot and to submit it JTC 1 for concurrent review. Abstain: France Resolution 5: Cancellation of Project for ISO/IEC 19757-2/Amd.1, Document Schema Definition Languages (DSDL) -- Part 2: Regular-grammar-based validation -- RELAX NG -- Amendment 1 SC 34 resolves to cancel project for 19757-2 since it is now planned to create a new part of 19757 that will mirror the work that had been planned for this amendment. Unanimous Resolution 6: Liaison Statement from SC 34/WG 1 to SC 29/WG 11 on Zip Study Period SC 34 approves the liaison statement contained in SC 34 N 1604 and instructs its Secretariat to forward it to SC 29. Unanimous WG 2 Resolution 7: Progression of Project for ISO/IEC TR 24754-2, Minimum requirements for specifying document rendering systems -- Part 2: Formatting Specifications for Document Rendering Systems SC 34 accepts disposition of comments on DTR 24754-2 contained in SC 34 N 1602 and instructs its Secretariat to submit revised text to ITTF for publication. Unanimous Resolution 8: Liaison statement from SC 34/WG 2 to SC 29/WG 11 about Panose value in ISO/IEC 14496-22 SC 34 approves the liaison statement contained in SC 34 N 1601 and instructs its Secretariat to forward it to SC 29/WG 11. Unanimous WG 3 Resolution 9: Progression of Project for ISO/IEC 18048, Topic Maps - Query Language (TMQL) SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to submit a revised text of FCD 18048 to ITTF for a DIS ballot when text is submitted by the Project Editors. Unanimous WG 4 Resolution 10: Cancellation of TR on Technical differences between ECMA-376:2006 and ISO/IEC 29500:2008, Office Open XML Due to the lack of submissions and nomination of project editor, SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to cancel the project "TR on Technical differences between ECMA-376:2006 and ISO/IEC 29500:2008". Unanimous Resolution 11: Cancellation of ISO/IEC 29500-2:2008/Amd.1, Office Open XML As no Amendment text was ever produced for Part 2, SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to cancel the project ISO/IEC 29500-2:2008/Amd.1. Unanimous Resolution 12: Request for a Consolidated Reprint of all 4 Parts of 29500:2011, Office Open XML SC 34 endorses the consolidated reprint edition of all 4 Parts of ISO/IEC 29500:2011 and instructs its Secretariat to submit them to ITTF for publication without further balloting. Unanimous Resolution 13: Renaming of ISO/IEC 29500-1:2008/Amd.2 and ISO/IEC 29500-4:2008/Amd.2, Office Open XML SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to rename the existing projects 29500-1:2008/Amd.2 and 29500-4:2008/Amd.2 to 29500-1:2011/Amd.1 and 29500-4:2011/Amd.1, respectively. Unanimous Resolution 14: Progression of Projects for ISO/IEC 29500-1:2011/Amd.1 and ISO/IEC 29500-4:2011/Amd.1, Office Open XML SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to begin a two-month PDAM ballot on each of the following documents: 29500-1:2011/Amd.1 and 29500-4:2011/Amd.1. Further, SC 34 delegates its authority to WG 4 to decide on the further progression of the two PDAMs. Unanimous Resolution 15: Change of Title of NP 30114 on Extension of Office Open XML File Formats SC 34 accepts the disposition of comments on NP 30114 contained in SC 34 N 1598 and approves to change the title to "Extensions of Office Open XML File Formats" from "Safe Extensions of Office Open XML File Formats". Unanimous WG 5 Resolution 16: Further Progression of Project for ISO/IEC TR 29166 SC 34 instructs its Secretariat to forward a revised text of PDTR 29166 to JTC 1 for a three-month DTR ballot when text is submitted by Project Editors. Unanimous Resolution 17: Extension of Study Period for "Reference Model for Identification and Description of Document Fragments" SC 34 notes that progress is being made by WG 5 in the Study Period, but further discussion is required to determine the requirement for and scope of future work. SC 34 approves an extension of the Study Period and requests WG 5 Convenor to submit a report on the results of the Study Period in time for consideration at the next SC 34 Plenary in Busan, Korea.
