The 2019-20 year was exceptional in many ways. When we started back to school last September, who would have imagined that we would finish the year in a pandemic and with distance learning. It is with gratitude that we look back on the accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff who shifted course and rose to the challenge of virtual classrooms. One constant was our adherence to our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Joy of Learning and Teaching. Our mission is our compass and guide: to provide an outstanding, unique educational experience that empowers students to grow into active global citizens and enables our alumni to thrive around the world, in college and throughout their academic, professional and personal lives. The Lycée relies on the generosity of our community to support the school with gifts of time, talent and treasure. Belonging to the Lycée extends beyond the commitment of paying tuition to actively supporting the philanthropic efforts of the school. This year’s Impact Report is a glimpse of the many aspects of the Lycée community and a celebration of the success of our students, the excellence of our faculty, the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors. As you travel back in time through the highlights of the 2019-20 school year, we invite you to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our founding and look to the future as together we embark on the journey of the next 25 years of the Lycée Français de Chicago. Thank you for your support and belief in the Lycée Français de Chicago.
