2016 Festival Guide July 14-24 Indyfilmfest.Org Lucky Number 13

REEL INDY Your all-in-one guide to 10 days of unforgettable independent film screenings, flashy filmmaker meet- and-greets and oh-my-god-what- happened-last-night parties. 2016 FESTIVAL GUIDE JULY 14-24 INDYFILMFEST.ORG LUCKY NUMBER 13 WELCOME TO THE 2016 INDY FILM FEST, PROUDLY PRESENTED BY INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY. For 13 years now, we’ve been creating shared experiences around film, all over the city of Indianapolis. No matter what anyone else may say, we’ve always thought of 13 as a lucky number. And we couldn’t be more fortunate than to have friends like you joining us here for 10 incredible days and more than 100 great films — including 22 premieres — from local, national, and international filmmakers. This year, you’ll notice the addition of our first-ever above-the-title sponsor, Indiana State University. Thanks to their generosity, we have been able to reach a broader audience than ever before. They’ve been the best kind of cinema buddy: one who is willing to share the popcorn AND run out to the lobby for a refill. Before the movie even starts. We are grateful for their commitment to public and community service, and to helping us further our vision. Thanks to you, our audience, we once again reached our Kickstarter goal for this year’s festival. This means we’re able to accommodate even more innovative filmmakers from around the globe. Be sure to consult your 2016 Festival Guide for opportunities to watch a brand-new film and connect with its creators. In person! Indy Film Fest is so much more than just 10 days in July. Our year-round screenings and events, like Roving Cinema, Film to Fork, and Cereal Cinema, provide countless opportunities for you to have a reel-y fun time. This year, we’ve had record attendance at a number of our events. We sure hope to see your face in the crowd. We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization, and we couldn’t pull off this festival without the dedication and generosity of these folks. Be sure to show ‘em a little love over the next 10 days. We know some buildings skip the 13th floor, but we’re just superstitious enough to believe that year #13 is going to be our best one yet. Let the films begin!
