The victory ran the RailRiders winning streak to eight consecutive games. June 20 Syracuse W, 4-3 June 22 @ Lehigh Valley W, 14-5 Trey Amburgey kicked off the scoring in the top of the first with a sacrifice fly against David Parkinson to give the RailRiders a 1-0 lead. SWB tacked June 23 @ Lehigh Valley 7:05 p.m. on three more in the second on a two-run homer by Andrew Velazquez and an RBI double from Ryan LaMarre. June 24 @ Lehigh Valley 7:05 p.m. In his second start with the RailRiders Luis Gil struggled with his control, walking a career-high seven batters. However, the right-hander persevered June 25 @ Lehigh Valley 7:05 p.m. to allow only one run in 4-plus innings of work, striking out five and not allowing a hit. The RailRiders kept adding to their advantage, getting a solo June 26 @ Lehigh Valley 6:35 p.m. home run from Armando Alvarez in the third, an RBI groundout from Velazquez in the fifth, and a Derek Dietrich RBI double in the sixth. Dietrich had another stellar night at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored, an RBI and a walk. 2021 vs. lehigh valley Already leading 7-1, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre broke the game open in the top of the seventh, sending nine batters to the plate.
