On 9 reconnaissance near Pecora December we departed on an extended reconnaissance trip north- ward to the Patuxent Range. Our first stop was near Bessinger Escarpment and surrounding regions Nunatak (8505 S 6441W), where only two meteorites were found during extensive searching. The next objective was an expansive blue ice area immediately east of the Anderson Hills R.P. HARVEY (8430 S 648- 00 W) in the Patuxent Range. Although we spent five days exploring this area, only 22 meteorites were recovered from roughly 300 square kilmeters of exposed blue ice.
