INGLESE Alberto Bonisoli was born in Castel d’Ario, near Mantua in Italy, on the 26th of December 1961. He graduated in 1986 from Milan's Bocconi University. Since 2012, he has been Provost of NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan, the largest private art and design academy in Italy, and President of the Association of Italian Fashion Schools. Since 2017, he is has also been President of AFAM, the umbrella association that groups the main Italian Institutes of higher education in art, fashion and design. Since 2013, he has been President of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda which brings together Italy's 18 leading fashion schools. Before being appointed Provost of NABA, from 1986 to 2002, Alberto Bonisoli worked in SDA Bocconi School of Management. From 2005 to 2007, he was senior consultant for the European Union in Turkey. From 2005 to 2007, he collaborated with the Ministry of Education, University and Research as senior expert for Internationalization. He was also a member of the cabinet of the Undersecretary in charge of the AFAM institutes, Nando Dalla Chiesa, and of the Directorate General for the Internationalization of Research. From 2006 to 2008, he was a consultant for the think tank The European House - Ambrosetti. From 2008 to 2012, he was Dean of the leading Milanese design school, Domus Academy. Over the course of his professional career, he has also offered advice to schools of art, fashion and design in over twenty countries, including the USA, the UK, Mexico, China, Chile and New Zealand. In June 2018, he was appointed Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism in the Government of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. .
