Subject to the provisions of this Order, the acquiring authority is under section 226 (1) (a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and Section 13 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 hereby authorised to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights over the land described in paragraph 2 for the purpose of facilitating the carrying out of development, redevelopment and improvement of land situate at Crawshaw Street Accrington in order to construct a new bus station consisting of a covered passenger concourse with 11 bus bays, pedestrian arcade link to Union Street and revised highway and pedestrian access. The development is likely to contribute to achieving the promotion or improvement of the social and, economic well being of the area. 2. The land authorised to be purchased compulsorily under this Order is the land described in the Schedule and delineated and shown shaded pink on a map prepared in duplicate, sealed with the common seal of the Acquiring Authority and marked "Map" referred to in The Lancashire County Council Accrington Bus Station Compulsory Purchase Order 2013 . 3. The new rights to be purchased compulsorily over the land under this Order are described in the Schedule and the land is shown shaded blue on the said Map. 4.
