For Immediate Release May 1, 2003 Contact Robyn Ritter Simon NEWS RELEASE 213.580.7532 office 310.710.3112 mobile LA AREA CHAMBER HOSTS LUNCH WITH LA’S BOYS IN BLUE ANNUAL OPENING PITCH DODGER LUNCHEON HELD TO CELEBRATE THE HOME TEAM The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the Los Angeles Sports Council salute the Los Angeles Dodgers at their annual Opening Pitch Luncheon on Thursday, May 1, at the Los Angeles Center Studios. The entire 2003 Dodger roster, Dodger Manager Jim Tracy, Hall of Famer Vin Scully and many former Dodger greats will be on hand to greet fans and support the Dodger Dream Foundation. Former Dodger greats scheduled to attend include Tommy Davis; Al Downing; Maury Wills; Jimmy Campanis; Bobby Castillo; Ron Cey; Ken McMullen; Don Newcombe; Steve Yeager; Jim Gott; Lou Johnson; Lee Lacy; Rudy Law; and Joe Moeller. There will be an interactive area where fans can have their photo taken wearing a Dodger uniform, test their pitching prowess and take swings in a batting cage. Manager Tracy and Dodger players will entertain fans with a question-and-answer program during the luncheon program. -more- Page Two Dodger Opening Pitch Luncheon May 1, 2003 A portion of the proceeds from the Opening Pitch Luncheon supports the Dodger Dream Foundation, which provides educational, athletic and recreational opportunities for the youth of greater Los Angeles. Los Angeles Center Studios are located in downtown Los Angeles on Bixel Street between 4th and 6th Streets. Parking is at the 4th Street and Boylston parking lot adjacent to the studio. The luncheon is open to the public and will include a no-host reception at 11a.m., followed by the program at 12 noon. ### The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, with 1,300 members, represents the interests of business in LA. County. Founded in 1888, the Chamber promotes a prosperous economy and quality of life in the Los Angeles region. .
