The Wild Wed., January 22 Grand Rapids Van Andel Arena 6 p.m. earned a 5-2 victory against the Condors at Fri., January 24 Manitoba Wells Fargo Arena 7 p.m. Mechanics Bank Arena (1/14). F Gerald Mayhew led the team with three points (2-1=3). D Brennan Sat., January 25 Manitoba Wells Fargo Arena 6 p.m. Menell (1-1=2), F Luke Johnson (1-1=2) and F Dmitry Sokolov (1-1=2) each tallied two points. G Kaapo Kahkonen made 17 saves. Iowa lost 3-1 to San Jose at Wells Fargo Arena (1/17). Sokolov scored and Kahkonen made 27 saves. The Wild earned a 4-3 overtime win against the Barracudas in Des Moines (1/18). D Louie Belpedio (1-1=2), F Will Bitten (0-2=2) and Sokolov (2-0=2) recorded two points apiece. G Mat Robson made 23 saves. Iowa won 4-2 at home against Texas (1/20). F Kyle Bauman, F Kyle Rau, F J.T. Brown (GWG and assist) and Mayhew all scored in the third period, Menell added two assists and Kahkonen made 29 saves. Mayhew leads the AHL in goals, ranks T-1st in GWG (6), T-2nd in scoring with 43 points (27-16=43) and fourth in shots (129). F Sam Anas ranks T-1st in the AHL in assists and T-2nd in scoring with 43 points (12-31=43). Rau ranks third on the team in scoring with 35 points (10-25=35).
