Chief’s Message It has been another busy year for the San Marcos Fire Department. The Department was able to complete some significant projects while still experiencing an ever-increasing demand for service. Thanks to prudent fiscal planning by the City, the Department was able to continue to provide its usual high levels of service to the community during the current economic downturn. In 2009, the Department’s response times were some of the fastest in the region.
