Rainbows are starting to go up around the Dunwoody Campus! Please consider sending one to your housekeeper, your nurse, or to a unit or department! Not only does it brighten up the hallways, but both staff and residents can enjoy seeing them. Information for Care Center Residents and Families We have a new COVID-19 case as of 4/10/20. All residents/responsible parties were spoken to yesterday. All care center residents were given face masks to wear when staff are in the room (If they are able/want to). We are reviewing infection control procedures with staff and have extra Housekeeping services in that area. We have done a good job of containing the virus to a few isolated cases – we will continue to follow CDC protocols and Dr. Tom Lawrence’s guidance. PLEASE EXERCISE VIGILANCE WITH HAND WASHING! We understand that these circumstances are difficult and appreciate your cooperation. Information for Independent Residents Please report any symptoms of fever with sore throat, congestion, and cough to Health & Wellness. If anyone has any elastic or bias tape they would like to donate, we are running low for the facemasks and could use it. I am happy to pick it up! We have made 260 kits so far and given out 68 masks so far! We have over 20 people helping to sew kits or making their own masks. Updates will continue to be provided as necessary and are posted on our website: www.dunwoody.org if your family is interested in following this information. Celebrate Easter Sunday April 12th .
